Imiafan / Machinepop - Split EP - 25-Nov-06 03:23 AM
An interesting release, especially "Toothpaste", the track really shows off the influence Kraftwerk has had on Imiafan and he sounds like he is from Detroit rather than Bratislava in Slovakia (although he is currently based in Canada). If you like music by artists such as Dopplereffekt and Anthony Rother this release is well worth checking out for Toothpaste alone.
Various - Acido Amigo - 19-Nov-06 12:11 PM
This compilation of acid tracks contain some of the biggest artists of the early acid era under various names, togheter with rare tunes like James "Jack Rabbit" Martin "Only Want To Be". Unlike many other compilations, the tracks are carefully picked on this one making it an easy recommendation for those who want to track down some of the early acid tunes without having an extremely large bundle of cash to spend.

Bigga - Respect / Headcharger - 24-Sep-06 01:07 PM
This stamped whitelabel incorporates everything you would expect from a proper rave record; gut-churning bass, speeded up breakbeats, ragga chants, gunshots, fog horns, helium divas and poor sound quality as in no mastering whatsoever... what more could one possibly ask for? 5/5 :-)
Pink Floyd vs. Underworld - Brown Acid - 20-Feb-06 07:59 AM
I remember the first time I heard this, thinking it was a takeout of some awesome mix tape. Whoever did it, managed to mix the stabbed riff of Underworlds "Born Slippy" into Pink Floyds floating "Is There Anybody Out There?" making it the perfect paranoid sound track to those unfortunate enough to end up with the brown acid during Woodstock back in 1969. Dont quote me on it, but Ive heard from different sources that this actually was the work of Aphex Twin, wouldnt suprise me if it was though, as I couldnt think of many other artists who could merge Pink Floyd with Underworld and still get away without it sounding like some cheesy mashup.... Essential!
