Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward - 13-Apr-05 03:12 AM
A new version of "Something To Do" has been released these last months, with filtered samples of the original. It works very well on the dancefloors, surely better than the one made by the english quartet (since it has the contemporary cliches), but the original is worthy of mentioning, for its perfect to listen any time.../

No words to describe this fantastic amount of notes sequences and synth pads in Q - you literally plunge into the music! The deep chords, the melodies...everything seems to create a synergic atmosphere. Unfortunately, its pretty uncommon to hear such well-conceived techno tracks these days...

Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life - 13-Apr-05 12:02 AM
Even though the Soul Central version for "Strings of Life" turned to be a massive hit kinda instantly, the original version from master Derrick May should get the credits for it, cause it holds the essence. It may be a bit slower and have a different mood from the more recent tracks, but it definitely has the spirit of a Detroit Techno classic.

Oh, what a marvelous piece of work did the masters Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier here! Simply outstanding...
I really dont what calls my attention the most: the dub elements, the smashing beats, or the psycho screams, totally out of usual. I heard Stacey Pullen playin it for the first time, about two years ago, at D-Edge Club, and it was gorgeous!
