Parasense - Avangard - 01-Jan-04 04:11 PM
A new and further step on the path of hard and heavy beats and full-on pumping bass from our dear Russian friends.
Gidra is maybe the least track on this album but all the rest is of an awesome mindboggling intensity! Track after track of mind altering, deep psychedelic trance with fat basslines and insane and totally whack samples.
This is a instant dancefloor hit, if youre a DJ, you have this album! Its that simple!

Ubar Tmar - True - 01-Jan-04 03:57 PM
One of the weirdest albums money can buy...
Ubar Tmar (or Takeshi Isogai) must be one of the freakiest Japanese people on earth (Thanks to Hisashi Ito for the quote).
7 multi-layered tracks with deep psychedelic grooves. Great production over the whole line, as can be expected from a producer of his standard.
It starts off with #1, low tempo and gradually youre taken uphill, with beats getting faster and complexer, to what I think is absolutely the best track, #6, which has an amazing intro that turns into a super deep, hard and dark groove with a powerful psychedelic vibe. Finally #7 has a nice and slow chill-out, cool-down effect.
Not every track grabs and holds your attention for the whole duration but nevertheless a very good album indeed.
Recommended for everyone whos looking for a deeper value in music...

Various - Distance - A Taste Of Goa Trance - 27-Dec-03 07:24 AM
This CD really does justice to its title: its a really good entry to the world of Goa Trance with great tracks by the older generation of psy-trancers. A wide spread variety in taste and styles ranging from the superfast, get out of my way beat of Green Nuns "Atomic Armadillo" to the slow, almost ambient "Still Dreaming" of Astral Projection. Noteworthy as a must is Man With No Names Jack In The Box and the ultimate party energizer "Tornado", which must be one of the alltime classic Goa Tracks.

Dark Soho - Sun Spot - 23-Nov-03 11:01 AM
What happens when you take just about everything thats exciting about Heavy Metal, Industrial, Gothic, Wave and Trance and put it all into the mix? Thats right, just about the most enticing piece of music you can imagine. It has all the best of every genre and sublimates this into a sometimes eerie, sometimes trippy but always powerful and extremely danceable.

This is a perfect example of what happens when metalheads start making Psytrance. The influences of the heavy metal days of Boxer, Zeev and Rizo are so obvious but never interfere with the amazing trip this music takes you on. Recommended for old those old punks and guitar-lovers who think Trance and Dance are too soft to be be taken seriously...
