Bass Master Warriors - Before I Let Jungle Go - 11-Apr-08 12:03 PM
100% Ragga Jungle at its finest.. Oh yes yes.

Four massive tunes that give maximum Booosh, plus they have all the ragga elements any respecting 90s Jungle lover could and do wish for. I would maybe go as far to say that some of the tunes on this 12" are more Ragga/Sound Clash, than they are jungle but rest assured they still turn any Dance floor to amen jelly.

I you see this for sale, Do two things,

1:- Jump for Joy.
2:- Sell your car, and or wife.

It may be rare and unknown but it sells for a heffty heffty price. But well worth it..

Thumbs up from me and most of the people lucky enough to own this slab of fine black plastic..

Bagga Worries & Jooxie Nice - Legalize (Quiet Storm Remixes) - 28-Mar-08 06:24 PM
O yes,
Here we have two Mixes to delight all jungle fans. If i were to provide evidence of what ragga jungle should be to an Alien race, this would be my plate of choice.

Both tunes are just as good as the the other and show the depth that this style aspired to in the mid 90's. It may seem quite rare to the un experienced ... but rest assured, with some well spent digging this can be bought for a very responsible price and will be one great asset to a collection.

Missing (2) - Flex & Relax / Back To Consciousness - 28-Mar-08 03:52 PM
I'm so shocked that some people on this site have rated this release so low, they should be shot for the heresy.

Both tunes are absolute bangers and with a little bit more pitch and volume these jungle tunes take on a feel that surpasses most other tunes from this era. If you have this tune and have the chance to spin them on a large sound system, Do it because this is what they were made for. Total jungle esotericness.

DJ Sy - Untitled - 19-Jan-08 02:53 PM
Side A starts out with a great sample from 2001 - A Space Odyssey that builds and glides very nicely into a smooth jungle rolla echoed by the classic HAL sample. This track seems to have been over shadowed by the B side due to the fact it has no amen rolling around, for which i think it benefits from as it has that charming character some non amen tunes have from that period.

While on the B side Nookie delivers a slice of fury with this remix. Here we have Carlito's Way being sampled with great effect, combined with incredible amen programing and production skills he manages to make this one of the those tracks that still sounds fresh even today, and that drops like a smelly hobo with bad gum's after being hit in the chops by an ugly thug.

DJ Legacy & Dreadi-Knight - Dark Stepper Vol. 1 - 19-Jan-08 02:07 PM
The highlight of this 12" is by far The Riddle, With its cheeky sampling "You never know whats going to come next" or "For instance" and along with the obvious Riddler sample, make this track a refreshing change from the played out ragga sampled tracks that dominated the era. Although released in 1996 (The era of Jump Up) it retains a mid 95 feel with its snappy amen programing and i feel one of the best bass lines ever cut to a 12". You just cant help but to get that neck bone workin to this one.
