Both remixes can not even match what power the original has and it's triumphant atmospheric sound and pure trance vibe. I feel that the original mix has been mis-understood during it's playtime. Many people will agree that it is a hard song to fit into a set, but I will agree that this song drives so much atmosphere that it is almost impossible to match it.
As for MPFS, they may want to re-think not releasing the Original mix, because the release has been weakened in the knee's without it.
