MC Shan - Beat Biter - 27-Aug-08 12:23 PM
On a hip hop documentary MC Sham went on one about The Bridge sayin the record was about where "they" came from meaning the track was about what happened in the bronx.Yet there`s no mention in the track of the bronx or any MC from the bronx.Trying to make out that insults the intelligence of anyone who knows the bronx vs queens story. The rhymes are sooo weak even compared to similar efforts of that time.Tellin us about how ruff it was in his neighbourhood "gettin frisked just to get in" well that happens everywhere. As the rhyme goes on by the third verse it starts to stray away from what the record is about and shan goes on tellin us "the morals of the story" why we should stay in school shit like that. The Bridge is a point in hip hop history but when you think about it a groundbreaker it is not.Beat Biter is Shan vs Cool J it turns out LL`s nicked beats off Shan and he`s not happy. I`m really amazed someone like marley marl even put this record out stole my beats? Daffy Duck / Porky Pig samples? more weak rhymes.
Kool Moe Dee - How Ya Like Me Now - 20-Dec-07 01:10 PM
That whole LL versus Kool Moe Dee thing what a joke!.I only ever owned one kool moe dee track Go See The Doctor by far his best and that ain`t brilliant.I could rhyme off at least a dozen absolute blinders by LL so really no competition.I can see why kool moe dee had respect amongst fellow rappers through his days with Treacherous Three and being there or thereabouts at the start but by the time he was battlin` with LL people like Funky 4, Busy b, Spoonie G and others had their day and were long gone.LL was that new skool comin` through all the big guns from the 80`s were comin through PE, BDP, Run Dmc, Beastie Boys Etc Etc Kool Moe Dee mid 80`s was just limpin through. And so the battle in the old corner Kool Moe Dee and in the new corner LL Cool J was coming to an end the horrible How Ya Like Me Now came out and was knocked out in one by LL`s Jack The Ripper as i said before no competition.
Various - Street Sounds Electro 10 - 05-Dec-07 02:15 AM
On the back of the cover there are picture`s and tracklist`s of previous releases in this compilation series. The electro 9 tracklist is actually electro 10`s tracklist but it also includes Full Force`s - Alice i want you just for me and LL Cool J`s - I can`t live without my radio maybe Electro 10 was cut short last minute?.And by the way i rememberDj Born Supreme Allah`s -Two,three,break and Freestyle`s - Don`t stop the rock very well indeed.

If your into old skool electro and you need some new tracks buy this.Forget the trance/bounce a side flip it over and bypass the survivors mix and check out that white glove mix.People are selling this around £2.50 i expect this to get a bit higher soon so bag a bargain. Its got a proper old skool electro vibe with its scratchin n stuff but still has that modern bounce synth thing goin on which does`nt ruin it like you would expect. Is this progressive electro? hmmm sounds just like it.
