Quentin Elias - What If I? - 24-Sep-08 07:23 PM
What a good release. Junior's take on "This Time Baby" is a huge club anthem. The elements of this track include huge horns, smooth vocals, and a ginormous build up. Once the peak hits around the 6:45 mark, there is no turning back. The track is from 2006 and one of Junior's best remixes post 2000. I'm not quite sure what Junior has been doing or thinking as of late, but I know his remixes have been Hit or Miss lately (usually on the miss side). If you want to hear one of Junior's better remixes in the past few years. I definitely recommend picking up this track up. Quentin's vocals go great with the typical Vasquez Anthem beats.
Various - Earth Music 2 - 06-Mar-08 08:06 PM
Talk about a great track selection, Earth Music 2 is an absolute dance floor filler. While it may not be as great as Earth Music 1, the mixing Junior does on Suzanne Palmer's - Show Me, into Steve Lawler's - Andante, into Dee Robert's [Brazen] Weep and then into Dolce's Sorrow is absolutely flawless. For a moment it feels like Andante is going to finish off the comp. Don't even get me started on Juniors take of JF Sebastian's Burden , a pure masterpiece. I definitely recommend this to any House music fan. To bad I can't say much about Juniors work of late.
Paula Cole Band* - I Believe In Love (Jonathan Peters Mixes) - 19-Dec-07 04:57 PM
Arguably one of Jonathan Peters best remixes to date & one of my favorites from 1999. The Anthem Mix (aka The Club Mix) is the taker on this release. The track is almost 14 minutes long but that’s hardly noticeable with the killer build-up, breakdown & the memorizing vocals of Paula Cole. Jonathan made this mix an absolute floor filler. To bad the release didn't also include both of Jonathan Peters Dubs. Now if he could just put out at least one more decent remix of anything.
