Reviews & Discussion:

There are some brilliant ideas and twisted melodies in these tracks, definately brain twisting stuff for the end of the night, it's just a shame the kick drums & bass sounds themselves are weak & amateurish and sound like they were created on budget soft synths or at least not mastered properly. Still, definately worth owning though!

Flip straight to the Crow mix. If you ignore the cheesy vocals (I'm mad! I'm really mad!) then this is a real killer tune. Great use of the sound of a chainsaw revving its engine to really get across the nastyness of the record, and what an acid line! Definately one of the best 303 acid hooks to come out of Germany in the last few years. First class stuff from DJ The Crow.
The Pranksterz making bouncy hard house!? Shock! Horror!
With a bouncy as hell off-beat bassline - 'Cos I Heat' is a change from their usual darker stuff, but still retains the underground acid feel of other Pranksterz releases. I love this tune to bits, bouncy, happy yet still underground enough to slip into an acid NRG set.
The club mix is ludicrously cheesy happy hardcore, but the 'album version' is a masterfully classic piece of acid trancecore, with the vocal 'Rise up tonight'.
Paul08 if you have been an Oakie fan for so long, how come you don't remember that this album was compiled when Oakie was flirting with Drum'n'Bass? This was a fair representation of his sets at the time, when he would regularly play an hour or so of Jazzy & melodic drum'n'bass cuts, before moving into his Goa stuff. It may not be the Oakenfold of now, but at the time this is exactly the stuff he was playing live. A must for any true follower of Oakenfold throughout his changing styles, this album really brings back the memories!
