Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children - 24-Aug-05 11:07 AM
Theres something strangley familar about the sound of this album.Like its always been around since the seventies but no ones noticed it before. For me this is one of those albums that demands your attention .A modern electronica classic.

Brian Eno - The Drop - 24-Aug-05 11:07 AM
Although its often frowned upon by Eno fans, this i think is a fantastic Eno album. Full of interesting rhythms, sounds and moods. He calls it "space jazz" ,which is a pretty good description.
This is no ambient album,it demands the listener to think and be absorbed in the music. I doubt anyone could make another album like this.

Harold Budd & Brian Eno - The Pearl - 22-Aug-05 07:07 AM
I remember the first time i heard this album. After a night in the pub with a good mate,we went back to his and played chess. The Pearl was playing on repeat in the background and with a mixture of alchohol and The Pearl, the game went on till early morning. 7am to be precise. The whole experience seemed to have been in slow motion.
So there you go,an essential album for playing 7 hour chess matches to.

Autechre - Garbage - 22-Aug-05 02:17 AM
This ep includes probably one of their greatest pieces, "Vletrmx21". Its dark, long, brooding and minimal and has an air of tension and foreboding. Worth buying for this track alone.
