Tubeway Army - Tubeway Army - 23-Mar-06 06:27 AM
Tubeway Army was originally released as a limited blue vinyl edition of 5000 copies on November 24th 1978. The black and white shadow face became the album cover when it was re-released, reaching number 14 in the album chart in the summer of 1979. This second LP sleeve was actually a sketch by Numan's old school friend Gary Robson, who had made a tracing of the singer's face from the sleeve for an earlier Tubeway Army single, Bombers.

James Ingram / MAW* Feat. India - Lean On Me / To Be In Love - 16-Nov-05 12:28 PM
Unfortunately this suffers from what most coloured vinyl and picture disc pressings do, terrible audio quality. You might be able to get away with playing it on DJ deck with average grade cartridges but play this on a high-quality audio turntable and you will hear how bad the pressing is. For me it's just a great piece of MAW memorabilia

Mark Imperial & Dennis Ramirez - Rock This House - 18-Jan-05 11:40 AM
Interesting little audio section between tracks 1 and 2 on side A; there is a piece of spoken word which when played normally is backwards. But when you spin the record backwards to find out what's being said (dodgy Satanic message possibly!), this is what you hear:
"Hey Dude, why you spinning this record backwards, I ain't saying' anything important".
Love the sense of humour!!!!

Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk - 18-Jan-05 02:38 AM
Following on from DJ343's comment, the release 'Doppelalbum' is an entirely different Vertigo compilation of Kraftwerk's earlier material. It should not be confused with this release which was basically Kraftwerk's first two German albums (Kraftwerk 1 and 2), released for the UK market in a gatefold sleeve.
Two different labels are in circulation for this release, one is the standard Vertigo symbol as used on all their 70's releases, the other is the rarer white label with black spirals which become very hypnotic if watched while record is spinning on turntable!

Heaven 17 - Endless - 13-Jan-05 05:19 AM
Collectors may want to consider the limited cassette box set as this contains 16 tracks as opposed to the 12 on the CD.
I am surprised that the CD release was not produced in such a way as to get all the tracks on and to make a nice job with the packaging as was done with the cassette box.
