Atari Teenage Riot - Delete Yourself!
Feb 29, 2008
Im very fortunate to know my record stores owner and hes very fortunate to have a customer like me. So fortunate am i that he knows (judging by what records/cds i pick up the week before) what im intrested in and if i like it. This is the 3rd Cd that iv purchased by ATR and im never ever let down by thier songs. "Sex", "Hetzjagd ayf Nazis" and "Cyber Punks are dead" all got a 5 star rating on my itunes. once again this vibe that comes from them makes you want to yell scream and punch stuff, but in a good way.
4/5
Atari Teenage Riot - Burn, Berlin, Burn!

I was impressed with the first atari teenage riot album that i heard and this one is the exact same. good tunes, with a vibe that makes you want to scream and smash things. what could go wrong??? Sick to death is one of my fav tunes on the album and delete yourself is a tune to end all tunes.
good solid album, nothing to blow your mind (unless you have never heard of them) but still makes your hair stand up with some good songs. 4/5
Atari Teenage Riot - Redefine The Enemy!
Feb 22, 2008
Wow. This really is not a bad album by them, but some of the songs (not your business) aren't really that impressive. Although some of the songs are somewhat boring and dont get my feet moving, most of the tunes with 97 remixes are pretty cool. Most of the time it doesnt even sound like they are singing about anything, just blabbering away like some boring MC would do at a drum and bass gig. All in all i like it enough to give it a 3 out of 5.
Aphex Twin - Drukqs
Feb 18, 2008
Sadly i own this cd. I had done some research looking for some new cds and noticed that aphex twin was allways poping up. I read some news/history about it and figured id go out and buy a cd. Big Mistake. I love experimental but my god this was bad. It was as if someone with tons of knowldge about electronic music got a 6 pack of honey brown, chugged it and begain slapping things together and calling it a song. After reading about how legendary this guy is i was let down after hearing the cds.
1 out of 5... and thats generous.
Andy C - Nightlife
Feb 18, 2008
Andy C still has it! This album came out a while ago, and even now when i listen to it i still love it. Although he is known for his very rough hard and heavy drum and bass this cd still is a good set of tunes that show of his ability to mix. Due to this album im currently going to look for his other nightlife collections and give them a listen as well.
4/5 in my book!
Agoria - At The Controls
Feb 15, 2008
Agoria, Agoria, Agoria why must you be so wierd? I love all things hosue and electro but this has to be one of the wierdest mixes i own. Its good, dont get me wrong, its a solid sturdy collection and assortment of tunes but something makes my face cringe. One thing that i do love is his track choice and his transitions. spot on. Im not sure what really makes it not appeal to me but for some reason i cant give it a 4 out of 5. its allmost there but at the same time it lacks.
3.5 out of 5
Adam F - Colours

I picked this Cd up about 6 months ago. Reguardless of how long its been since its release (1997) the only song that i would give a thumbs up to is "Circles". Im a huge fan of Drum and Bass, along with all of its little sub genres but for some reason this album does nothing for me. I give him respect for creating such a large name for himself and pumping out so many albums but at the same time theres no "Wow" factor to his production during the time of this album. Occasionally i would hear a fiew pleasing sounds with-in specific songs (Ex. Jaxx, when the sample "one" was used) but like i said, nothing to be excited about.
over all i would give this album a 3 out of 5. If you love drum and bass and are a collector then by all means pick it up, but be weary that there are loads and loads of other songs/albums that do a better job at illustrating Drum and Bass. | ||||
