Profile: A Trance, Tech-Trance and Techno producer. Collection consists mainly of mixed CD compilations (no Vinyl!) that are Trance or the harder sounds. Interested in most types of electronica, house, breakbeat and techno but I love my Tech-Trance!!!
I am a Discogs member to help provide the correct tracklistings for CDs. I know how I hate incorrect names because the real artists should get the credit for the traxx they produce.

Various - Hospital Mix.Five Mixed By London Elektricity - 14-Mar-07 05:28 PM
New to this genre, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the promotional information said this compilation was “for new fans as an entry level introduction” to drum and bass. This is the fifth instalment of the annual Hospital mix, with turntable duties taken up by Tony Colman, better known as London Elektricity. With nearly a decade long music career under his belt, this CD really does show his professionalism as a producer and DJ. Although he combines 30 tracks into one slamming 61 minute mix, it is more important to note that there is not one bad track on the disk. Every tune is a quality one, aided with great mixing where you can barely distinguish where each track mixes into the next. The CD features many of the regular Hospital crew, including Nu:Tone, Logistics, Q-Project, Cyantific and London Elektricity himself, whilst also including many exclusive tracks. The sound is frantic, peppered with a few vocal cuts and some utterly awesome basslines. Brilliant!
Deetron - Twisted - 09-Feb-07 02:34 PM
Sam Geiser, better known as techno producer / DJ Deetron, has released his debut album Twisted on the Belgium Music Man label. Known for his triple-deck DJing technique, his production skills have markedly increased Deetron’s popularity in the scene. Consequently, Geiser has remixed Samuel L. Session, Paul Mac and Smith & Selway. Deetron produced all the tracks on Twisted, whilst featuring many guest vocalists. Blurring the lines between electro, house and minimal, this unmixed long player is more suited to home listening instead of dance-floor. Each track provides carefully crafted sound-scapes, with an intricate use of pads which add to the atmosphere. A laidback feel, shuffling hi-hats and deep basslines flow throughout the album. Thudding sub kicks and subtle melodies create Mr Smooth, while Isotope illustrates more electro tinged sound. Drawing upon Latin and Jazz stylings, I Cling provides an even more diverse selection of influences. The Afterlife provides a slightly haunting feel, while using more percussive elements to provide a more upbeat track. An overall relaxed listening experience.
Various - Peaktime - 06-Feb-07 03:40 AM
Right from the outset, it is obvious that this Peaktime compilation will live up to it’s name and be one pumping double mixed CD. The Swiss Dave Joy, known for his quality Hard Trance involvement for ten years, teams up with the home-grown Yoshi to create the eighth instalment in the series. Disc one features the overplayed Energizer Reworked by Desperate Deejays, mandatory Masif DJ’s tunes and a cover of Marc Aurel’s Running by Phil York & Chris Hoff. Yoshi briefly crosses over into the increasingly popular Hardstyle sound, whilst ending his mix in banging style with Overdrive, in collaboration with Matt Williams. Disc two follows a similar banging path, with only minimal variation through Dave Joy’s mix. Unusual artists such as CJ Stone, Hemstock & Jennings and DJ Shog are included, blending in nicely to the pumping track-list. If you enjoy the vibe of the Transmission series, you’ll definitely want to snap this CD up.
Public Domain - 15-Dec-06 07:43 AM
Public Domain have really pushed the barriers in the Tech Trance genre, after beginning with the ever popular Operation Blade (Bass In The Place London). They have moved away from the more commercial orientated music into a more driving, underground sound. Their Central Energy - Public Domain vs. Warp Brothers mix showcases this, showing that they can DJ as well.
Various - Central Energy Volume 20 - 23-Nov-06 02:50 AM
This new triple disk compilation showcases three of Australias best DJs. After the success with Central Energy - Nxt Generation, the trio of Amber Savage, Archie and Baby Gee combine to effortlessly mix melodic Trance with Hard Trance and thumping Hardstyle to provide an energy packed ride. Sydney based Amber Savage was recently voted 6 in the ITM Australia DJ Poll, with her mix the hardest of the three. She starts with her own collaboration with Archie, Apocalypse. It is a searing Trance tune with a nice tribal break to spice things up. Forging his name as Tech Trances king, Marcel Woods Advanced is also included. However, Savage acknowledges the past classics, including DJ Scot Projectss remix of The Second Trip by Hennes & Cold. However, the mix turns to the harder styles, including In Touch With Tomorrow, which interestingly has a similar sounding flute sound to Madonnas Hung Up. Disk Two features Archie who placed 11th in the ITM Australia DJ Poll. He mixes in some of his own productions including Enrapture and his remix of Teenage Idol, a collaboration with Anjay. Focusing less on the banging Hardstyle, Archies mix includes the brilliant slice of Trance by Martin Roth in Shockwaves. Hypnotisin does keep the die hards happy, with gated riffs and tough beats. The mix ends with Fijian born Baby Gee, who slips in the haunting atmosphere of Mark Normans False Vegas. It moves straight onto the epic Trance sound of Close Encounter by Plynn. The Tech Trance rework by Mac Zimms of Sunstates Horizon is an absolute monster, shifting from distorted synth stabs to melodic strings with aplomb. A surprise inclusion is the Psy Trance tune by Infected Mushroom, with Im The Supervisor, successfully amalgamating a humming bassline with rock vocals. This is a great overview of the harder genres present within Australias dance scene today, the three DJs offering a wonderful listening experience whilst showcasing their skills.
