Police, The - Certifiable: Live In Buenos Aires (DVD) Dave the Voter With this "CIP" thing, I tend to look more at the history of a submitter before I vote. For example, if something needs minor changes but the submitter is someone who is generally good at getting back and fixing things, I will only comment and not vote on it. No sense in sending a good submitter to the CIP when so many seem to be leaving the site. However, if the submitter is genuinely new to Discogs and needs to learn a few things, then I will vote on the sub in the hopes that they will learn to become a better submitter. Dave's Ratings 5 - Essential. 4 - Good stuff. 3 - Take it or leave it. 2 - Only for the collector. 1 - Forget about it. I do my votes by format as well. Most cases this makes little different on a 5-point scale, but sometimes a vinyl release of something is just plain better than the CD, or a certain remaster is superior to another. If I haven't voted on something in my collection it is because I haven't listened to the entire thing enough to feel i have the right to comment on it. Dave the Listener While I listen to most styles of music, I am a very picky listener. Within a given style of music I tend to be very selective. Some favourites these days in no particular order: Mr. Bungle, Behold... The Arctopus, Franz Liszt, Fuck The Facts, Opeth, Police, The, Atheist, Tea Party, The, Tool (2), Porcupine Tree, Doors, The, Pink Floyd, Faith No More, Unexpect, Genghis Tron, Guthrie Govan, Death (2), Nile (2), Igor Stravinsky, Who, The Dave the Submitter I like to provide scans with everything I submit (except 12" which I can't fit). Most of my subs will have complete scans of the cover, back CD and any credits. If I feel ambitious I may scan absolutely everything. NOTE: As of July '08, I don't have a scanner... but as soon as I get a new one, I will be "catching up" with all of my unscanned subs. Dave the Collector I seem to collect things at random. One might say I am slightly more inclined to buy items relevant to the history of Canadian metal, but only slightly. Here are some bands and label's I am (very passively) collecting.
