65D Mavericks, The - Defining The Symptom - 22-Oct-09 10:44 AM
This double 12" must be one of the most underestimated records in the (serious) techno genre. Quality off beat with enough changes to keep it interesting, and very dancefloor orientated. Obviously influenced by the downwards and surgeon camp, but easily meets up to LINOs high standards. If you want a perfect example what techno was all about post 2005, you are ought to check this one. And the 65 ds proved that they can bring some emotional clever sounds with "an experimental conclusion". Techno for the dungeons!

Neil Young - 23-Nov-07 08:02 PM
Look, it might be a disgrace to write about an country/rock whatever artist as a true electronic addept.

But Neil Young is just amazing, his music speaks right to the heart with true integrity, wisdom and truth. Neil knows how to bring everyday in great music, thats why I adore him.

Check tracks like, Cortez the killer, heart of gold, like a hurricane, harvest moon, down by the river or see the sky about to rain for true peace of mind...

Secret Cinema - White Men Can't Funk - 27-Oct-07 04:56 AM
Cant understand why no one wrote a review on this one.

This album was produced in 2001, as one would say "when techno was still techno". Well, this is techno at its best.

"Acid Come" is the slammer on this double pack. Furious basses and profound 303 sounds with a hypnotising effect. Yumm!

B-Side offers a mediocre breakbeat set, but this is rapidly forgotten by "Deep Shit", with a clever burbling melody under the surface.

"Da Break" brings the post-2000 techno, furious, no-prisoner loop sounds with the necessary sublety.

This brings us to the highlight on this album (imo)"For my Love". Jeroen has made a wide range of productions and proves with this track that hes able to bring classy Detroit techno too. Very classy!

John Beltran - Ten Days Of Blue - 20-Nov-05 08:31 AM
This is the only album i have on 4 audio carriers: cd(for downstairs), vinyl (for upstairs), md (for train) and cassette (for car). This album is simply amazing. Ambient brought in a unique and brilliant way. Eespcially soft summer is one of those tracks that bring comfort at the time everything seems to go wrong.
Essential!!!

Function / O/V - Substance Vol. 1 - 12-May-05 01:03 AM
Sweet record. Ian j. Richardson brings his typical sound.
But Sumner DAMN! rough, low, industrial sound building up to a climax. Classy work.
