This album simply is a jewel that gives you an uplifting (Hang Up Your Hang Ups, The Traitor, Heartbeat) and laidback (Sun Touch, Bubbles, Steppin' In It) experimental / minimal / instrumental trip into 70s funk-jazz. Herbie Handcock at his best! Warm, generous, multi-maniac musicians...

Back in 1992, when I first discovered these exctatic tracks it clearly paved me the way - along with 80s electronic synth-pop heritage - to acid jazz, trip hop and detroit techno.
