Fuzzy Logik Feat. Egypt (7) - In The Morning - 20-Jun-09 04:38 PM
Theres something about this tune thats so addictive. Ive been waiting agessss for this to be released on to vinyl (even though its a test press for now) Having the mp3 for a while Ive just been blazing this tune for the last few months. In the morning to me is reminiscent of old 80s grooves re-worked into UK funky house, fantastically. Its just so addictive. Egypts vocals flow so well on the tune, this one make both males and females sing and its just getting requested all day long on the London Pirate Radio scene.... And as a bonus there Leader 2 on the flip side, which again is brilliant, grimey yet funky. Great production on both songs by Fuzzy Logik, a must have in your record box.

Maybe D?? - Let Me Be Your Fantarsey - 22-Jan-09 02:54 PM
Personally i used to love the original when it came out and this remake of it its just superb. I got it a few days ago and just had to write a review on it, which is rare for me to do that straight after its release!! How to describe this tune, well it kicks in with the piano we all recognises with a slow feeling dubstep drum beat. After the intro is done, in drops one heavy ass bass line which remains in the background constantly. You will not hear the full potential of this tune with out a serious set of speakers. My bose seem to do well kicking out 30HZ end, but this tune is seriously made for 15" speakers or above!!! I LOVE IT brought back memories from when i used to listen to the original!!!

bassSick - Really Rockin - 07-Oct-08 09:12 AM
This here I have to say is quite a lil gem which i accidentally picked up in HMV Oxford Street of all places, hidden in between a rack of non related records. I picked it up seeing the label of all things thinking this looks pretty interesting, with the words BASSSICK standing out to me... Being bit of a basshead, I have to give it a go. It was defo. worth its weight in plastic!! Side A is a Electro/House tune with a really catchy beat to it which makes ya head bump, even a garage MC can ride on top of this one!! Now Side B, being UK Garage its speeded up and made even more bouncy to give a sorta happy feel to it which just make u move ya body!! Very reminiscent of the DND days of 2001 but with a bit of Second Protocol - Basslick added to spice up the flavour!!

Mr. Fidjet* & Mr. Grim - Frostbite / Mr Fidjet - 14-Jul-08 06:16 AM
This is one of Donaeos aka Mr. Fidget early all time great tracks. Teamed with Mr. Grim, its superb is all i can say one of his top productions and one of ma favs. Both sides of the plastic are amazing with Frostbite being extremely grimey a bit too grimy for when it came out but would smash it now as it has an evil bassline with a gothic horror feel style intro to it. Mr. Fidget (self titled track) was his original personal dubplate, that he used to mc over, but due to huge popular demand for it he made a very very limited small amount pressed on to white label so only the lucky few got them. This track is big sounds sorta like My Philosophy (Bounce) but a little tiny bit more basic, making the tune sound more authentic and in my opinion even more collectible. Get it if u can find this one and good luck!

Various - Sound Of The Pirates - 02-Jul-08 07:23 PM
What an amazing double pack, i remember purchasing this from the home of locked on in Holloway, London on white label, and its still superb to this day when i play the tracks off it. Capturing the essence of uk garage from the era of 1999-2000. Nearly every tune on here was smashed in the clubs down in London, with the big crowd pleasers like Azzido Da Bass, Wookie, Zed Bias & Roy Davis Jr. Getting the clubbers spine tingling and uncoordinated shout of rrrreeewwind were throw at me!! The creme of the collection for me personally is... Roy Davis Jr. - Gabriel (Large Joints Remix) which was only available on this release. Really words cant express how i feel about this track its one of my all time greats (the live garage original version that is) and some how by a miracle the large joints productions team just made a true classic even better, by now creating a remix just as good as the original... Oh the choices of which to play!!! Having a heavy deep bassline, slightly down tempo to the original, yet still keeping the euphoric well balanced vocals of the original. I just love it and only purchased this pack for that single tune!!! To any garage head out there who was unlucky enough to miss out on the original press of each tune on here, U Need This Compilation!!! It like spinnin gold in a double pack!!!
