Reviews & Discussion:

This vinyl single from Supersoul Recordings has been in my case for quite some time now, and it will probably stay there for quite another while. All three tracks are good and function well in the club, but they're all suited for different times and moods which makes the record varied. My favourite is the Xln Maison Vumbi edit of Aip, a space-funked house track with a cool bassline and an increase in intensity that works very well on the dancefloor. Filiberto's mix seems pretty cheesy at first, but it grows a lot after a few listens and fits well in an after hour set. All God's Children on the A side is overlong, but still has enough variation in it to keep it interesting throughout. An interesting record that shows a lot of potential.
Subway - Simplex Nov 28, 2008
I found this record by accident, but I'm really happy I did because it's a gem of a vinyl single. Both sides feature a strong psychedelic touch, with the repetitive and increasingly layered LSD-trip of "Simplex" on Side A. Flipping the record the listener finds oldschool cosmic disco at its best, with a really slow tempo and a hypnotic repetitiveness that you seldomly find nowadays. Not a record to rock a party with, but one to dive deep into on a meditative level.
