Profile: Aged 26, work in sales. Currently dj'ing and co-running a monthly electro night in Glasgow City Centre called ELECTROBIX.
We love electro, synth-pop, italo-disco etc and wanted to do a monthly night because no one in Glasgow really plays the stuff.

We have just started a weekly night in Glasgow's west end at Transit.

Just about all of the techno is for sale, NOT the electro. If there is anything there you are interested in then please mail me.

Various - 666 Versus 808: Iron Maiden Elektro Tribute Aug 06, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
I love Iron Maiden and I love electro, so what better than Electro Iron Maiden! The Maxx Klaxon cover of Die With Your Boots On is superb. This has been fully endorsed by Iron Maiden and well worth a listen as Maiden know how to write a catchy tune themselves.
Electrobix is one of the best Electro-style tunes ever to be released. Very 80's synth, excellent funny lyrics (very toungue and cheek). Some people class it as cheesy but it has a much darker feel to it and it fills the dancefloor.
The original tune is very interesting, rather heavy electro with a very oriental sounding breakdown.
The Smash TV remix is amazing. Excellent chunky electro distorted bass and cool vocal effects.
The original tune by Sascha Funke is a very good electro/techno/funky house with the typical Bpitch sound. The Ellen Allien remix is the best by far and best on the record. I liked the Paul Kalkbrenner mix but was unsure of the Lawrence mix. Maybe a bit too house for me but would still appeal to a lot of people. Well worth buying.
This is a fantastic album and shows how much Ellen Allien has matured as an artist. Brilliantly produced, a lot of work has went into this album. A good symbol of what Bpitch Control electro is all about.
