Profile: Mainly, Discogs is a source of information for me. Since last year it became for me a source of some releases that are unavailable as digital downloads - so I occasionally buy them on vinyls. And I keep looking for them.
Since last 3 months I started actively editing and updating our Discogs database. I made my first submission nearly 3 years ago and today I see how silly it was done :). What I can say to You (a person that is reading this words) - if You will someday add something to database or if You will only edit something - just listen what older members/mods are saying to You in comments... :) They have experience and understand some things better than you could expect:). And You can learn many things from them. Just as I've learned druring this past 3 years... And of course You should read full Release Submission Guide :P
I treat situations like buying something very seriously, so I never buy anything when I'm not really interested in it or when I don't have enough money for it. The only thing that I expect is good (safe) packaging and realisation of my purchase in time no longer than 2 weeks. Of course we talk about situation when information about release for sell (condition of medium and sleeve) is consistent with real condition.
At the moment I don't plan to sell anything on Discogs, but if some day You'll see me offering something - You can be proof that packaging will be safe and information about media condition will be accurate.
