Dominik Eulberg - Herbarium - 27-Aug-09 09:05 PM
What an awesome EP from Dominik Eulberg, as always he delivers innovative emotional and downright beautiful music. -Lichtnelke is my favourite, a sort of 10 minute journey into Ambient Techno. Kriechender Günsel is a great piece of Techno as well, really different - all round both sides are just top notch.

The two tracks are named after flowers, in German with the Latin terms following, Kriechender Günsel is the Blue Bugle, whilst Kuckucks-Lichtnelke is Ragged Robin.

Kraftwerk - Computer World - 07-Aug-09 05:34 AM
Im not sure if its just mine but the version of this LP I purchased actually has Trans-Europe-Express pressed on it and not Computer World. I cant imagine how that happened and didnt get noticed by the people bootlegging it. Im not complaining though, Kraftwerk is Kraftwerk and thats all that matters.

As expected the sound quality isnt the best but short of finding the original pressings, this release is going to do just fine - the picture printing is a nice little gimmick too.

Devilfish & Roel Salemink - Manalive - 07-Apr-09 06:15 PM
This release is an update of Devilfish - Manalive (Past), which famously sampled those striking chords from Good Life - in 2000. The package is a combination of current Techno sounds and some more underground sounds too.

The only thing which comes across as odd is Roel Saleminks name appearing next to Devilfish and although the his remix is quite dull; it surprisingly appears next to the original when this is infact the version from 2000. Fortunately the other mixes are a slight bit more inspirational, with the Jon Rundell Remix even managing to chart number 1 on the biggest download sites.

Nonetheless, they still arent even comparable to the Techno classic Bush fans, and Techno fans will always remember. It shouldnt be a surprise to see the original on this release, as it should be.

Andy Page - Serpent - 22-Sep-08 05:46 AM
A truly special release from Andy here, as would be expected. Serpent alone makes this a great release, pulsating and building slowly till the mid section when he brings in the guitar. Such an infectious riff you cant help but air guitar along. On the b-side Blue Noise is just as impressive, melodic and simple with beautiful atmospherics its the sort of track you could sit motionless staring at wall, yet still enjoy. Its just a shame that more of Andys ambient and experimental productions havent been released, Blue Noise is just the tip of his proverbial iceberg.

Chable* & Bonnici* - Ride - 31-Jul-06 01:19 PM
Quite possibly the best song/record i have ever heard and am glad to own!

The main feature of the song itself is the melody and numerous layers of saws and chable styled percussion, you get a wicked 4/4 mix in the original with the normal melody but turning over to the breaks mix and theres a real bueaty. the beats just sync into the melody so well that it makes you instantly smile and the melody is also slightly altered with short rolls on the notes to add a nice effect.
