Scanner > Shea* > Main - Sub Rosa Live Sessions > Paris June 1996 - 08-Nov-09 05:05 AM
I was present in 1996 at this concert. In retrospect, it was special because, at this time, I was 20 years old and listened to some punk music (honestly it sucks...), some EBM/Industrial bands, but I didn't know this sort of techno scene. The concert was localized in a dead-end at the east of Paris near of the Père Lachaise graveyard; in a real old garage - which gives the name to the concert hall - a small space with two floors, a small bar, some sofas; the space built in wood beams and a recording studio located at the second floor overhead the entry. Really strange ! If I remember correctly, four groups played including Silk Saw and maybe 100 spectators to see the show. After a plenty of beers later, the show was really cool, smooth, travel into the hop; but I would apologize 13 years later : Robert or Scott (Main), if you read this text one day, I am ashamed to have boo your performance. For that matter, you asked me to shut my mouth up over the show and at the end, you show me your middle finger :-) So again : really sorry, because the performance was incredible and I always like listen your work.

Various - The Best Of Italo Disco Vol. 7 - 16-Jan-09 11:44 AM
This italo disco wave was a big mess with more than ten clones for each sucess and same compositions with same notes but mixed ! But but... There had some unbelievable beautiful songs. I think from volume 1 to 7, you can listen to carefully each songs. I especially like this volume 7 for the hits "USSR", "Do You Really Need Me " or "I Want An Illusion". After the volume 7, it's really crappy with the exception of some songs.

Bruno Nicolai - Buon Funerale Amigos!... Paga Sartana / Gli Fumavano Le Colt... Lo Chiamavano Camposanto - 19-Sep-08 11:48 AM
For those who like the Morricone-like releases, here is a great (the greatest?) release by his friend Bruno Nicolai. Are you searching for harmonica ? Whistlings ? Crazy violons ? Martial drums ? Tenors who cryyyyyy in the wind ? Toum toummmm tamm toum tammmmm guitars ? Scared stiff piano ? Some strange mexican things from Italy ? And the melancholic trumpets ? Here are all those gimmicks in just on CD for two soundtracks :) Awesome !
