Lemon Sol - Environmental Architecture - 25-Jul-09 10:13 AM
I was late finding this gem, probably only about 4-5 years ago now. It amazes me how an album of this quality can remain so under the radar - this is up there with the very best in ambient techno from the early to mid 90s. Relatively rare but not that expensive to pick up a copy second hand in the usual places... highly recommended to fans of B12, The Black Dog, HIA etc. Had this album been on a label such as Warp, it would have been a well known classic by now...

I rarely write reviews, I get inspired from time-to-time and start one and then can't find the right words to continue so end up leaving it altogether....

I just picked up this CD during the week having stumbled across it here on discogs. I listened briefly in my car yesterday and could tell it was something special, even though I only listened to the first 4 tracks. I didn't get an opportunity then again till tonight to go again with it and listen from start to finish... what can I say but a big 'WOW' - this is one of the best collections of techno I have heard in a long time...

Anyone who enjoys melodic detroit techno, needs this in their collection, it is a hidden gem in the history of techno and an absolutely essential purchase.

LFO - Tied Up - 16-Apr-08 10:29 AM
An absolutely excellent mix of what was already an amazing tune from LFO. I am not fortunate enough to have got a copy of this (yet!) on vinyl but it was featured in 2007 on a Bugged Out! Classics compilation - the notes with this compilation mention that this mix was played by LFO at the first ever Bugged Out night on Friday November 24th 1994. It is a rare gem of a tune and I hope one day to own a copy of this release.
