Cinematic Orchestra, The - Every Day - 06-Jul-06 11:03 PM
What an album ! i love this it really gets the emotions going. Beautiful music by the Cinematic Orchestra as always but for this album they had the wonderful vocal talents of Fontella Bass. It really does bring tears to the eyes listening to this and that is exactly what Fontella bass was doing singing "all that you give" ...crying, as this song had special meaning to her as her husband had past away.

Stoner Shit Records - 27-Jun-06 10:23 AM
Does exactly what is says on the tin with this label. Shame there was only 2 releases really but the 2 records that were put out are pure class with DJ Slip showing us he's not just a techno producer. Stoner Shit indeed.

Anthony Rother - Redlight District - 24-Jun-06 04:29 AM
One of Rother's greatest moments here. Dark, atmospheric and razor sharp beats make this a true classic electro E.P.
If you love electro and don't own this ...shame on you.

Various - The Harder They Come - Original Soundtrack Recording - 21-Jun-06 08:08 AM
What a album ! Listen to the title track "The Harder They Come" this guy is singing from the bottom of his soul. It's totally infectious and you will find yourself singing it all day.
"You Can Get It If You Really Want" & "Many Rivers to cross" also are tracks from the heart, the way all music should be.
If you can, see the film which stars Jimmy Cliff in the lead role and has this album as the soundtrack.
Reggae music at it's best.

Various - Lee 'Scratch' Perry & Friends - Open The Gate - 21-Jun-06 08:08 AM
The Great Lee Scratch Perry. What can i say so much good music from this man we are truly not worthy.
A good start if you haven't heard much is grab this box set, kick back and let yourself be taken on a journey of blunted bliss.
A true Reggae Great.
