Thompson Twins - Into The Gap (Deluxe 2CD Edition) - 19-May-08 05:29 AM
What an incredible quality re-release of this classic album from 1984. First there's the package itself, the booklet folds out into an impressive sheet packed with pictures of the band and the original sleeves for the various vinyl, cassette & picture disc editions of the singles. Next we have the album itself, which sounds excellent even by todays standards. This excellent set also includes for the very first time the 'Special Cassette Remixes' and a further seven 12" mixes plus B-sides. This album is a testament to just how important the Thompson Twins were to the 80`s sound and style of the time. The quality of this reissue sets new high standards, lets hope they are followed through to other releases which come under the same title of `Reissue Albums`of the future.

John Beltran - Going Home EP - 03-Apr-08 02:06 AM
From the first graceful notes,it is clear that John Beltrn`s Going Home Ep is going to be a work of pure, calming beauty. As it moves along, however, what becomes even more clear is that it is an amazing, almost alchemical blend of beautiful soothing melodies, textures with irresistible beats for a fully immersive listening experience..There's so much to enjoy here,It demands repeat listens to discover layers or things missed on earlier passes. This Ep is highly recommended,as it reminds us how engaging John Beltrans productions can be.
Black Dog, The - Radio Scarecrow - 26-Mar-08 07:11 AM
To put it simply this CD is amazing!!! I can not find enough adjectives to fully describe how I feel about this album.I put it in to my cd player and listened from start to finish. This album has all of the ingredients of a classic. From the gentle intro of Transmission Start, this album takes the listener on a journey of classic electronica which glides through many styles, from Ambient,Techno to a touch of classical,it`s all there. It's a very rewarding album.... A classic in the making....
Audela - Audela - 03-Apr-07 11:09 AM
It would be pointless to describe this work on a track by track basis as this album has to be listened to as a whole for the very best experience. Audela calls to mind so many powerful and inexplicably spiritual thoughts, impressions, feelings, it has somehow unlocked a secret place where no-one else dare tread. After just one listen it gives you the impressions of sprawling cityscapes and adventures on a very galactic level. The sheer drama which feels natural and artificial, takes you on a trip into deep space territories, and leads the listener to dark space and vast, open solar vistas. An excellent second release for Belgium's Plague Recordings. What's coming next...??
