A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray - 07-Aug-05 02:45 PM
Gerald sent Voodoo Ray into Manchester 103fm Radio Station in 1988 which was played by Stu Allens late night show. He didnt leave any contact details on the recording and for weeks the request was going out "Will this Guy Called Gerald please contact the station as soon as possible" and so the legend goes he was also working at Mcdonalds at the time.

My Favourite mix on here was the funky phat one which has a phat break leading it with a sort of MK horn riff through out. Also samples Level 42 - Starchild.

I first started playing S.U.A.D records when they first started out. Raw breaks with a mad method for sampling rock and pop tunes. I took these records to Australia with me in 1991 and it blew up dance-floors and Raves everytime they got dropped. Jugglin was an anthem in Perth, tracks like this went on to inspire many of todays Drum and Bass producers.
