Admittedly I don't know much about 2CB/Subhead.I was advised to check this record out and wasn't dissapointed.New Matic is best descibed as rhythmic noise with its bursts of shrill whines and distorted half time kicks. An excellent track, but sadly very short,it's been given one side of a vinyl but takes up less than a third of it.It's been pressed at 45,so play at 33 would lengthen the track, but no doubt would lose its power.
On the other side,we have the nice distorted electro track Bish Bash Bosh, probably the easiest for mixing.Last is Ind. Est.,a slightly rougher track which reminds me of the first couple of Hekate releases on New Skin crossed with Electromeca and a dash of Poka Michelson for the first minute.

Rough, loud and very nice "industrial" electro from what seems to be a little known artist from Germany who likes to experiment judging by other records he's released. This is by far the best of his work I can find, perfect for mixing (the A side in particular) and every track is worth it.B3 is probably the best track, faster with more percussive and atmospheric sounds, similar to older Somatic Responses releases but thankfully not a clone,it's definately original and worth the price it's selling for.

Very solid electro/breaks from a very under-rated project.Releases seem to be an occasional thing with them, but the ones they do have will not disappoint.Think Cylob’s “Industrial Folk Songs” and the like for an idea of sound, but much more deliberate. Some tracks are at a tempo suitable for mixing with some breakcore and hardcore, but many are slower and more mixable with techno and so on.It doesn’t mean ADC seem to make tracks with mixing in mind however (that’s a good thing). Most tracks are reasonably short and a few contain wild rhythm structures, so a bit of careful selection is required around them. Brilliant stuff,I hope there’s plenty more to come from them.

This release really showcases a who's who of breakcore of the period, the only obvious exception is it misses Venetian Snares, but his output was and still is high,so I guess there is no real need for him here. Also interesting in that it contains plenty of output from regulars at Entity records in Belgium (Undacova,Kaebin Yield,Sedarka and so on),with some really amazing tracks from them. The problem however,is the sound quality.Quiet and with no real definition,I imagine you would have real problems playing this out, even with plenty of deliberate boosting.Slight damage to this record means very audible pops and clicks too. This convinced me to get rid of this release for a while, but the quality of some of the tracks means I ended up folding and getting it once more, this time as a collectors piece, which I think suits it quite well.

An interesting compilation here, from a label I know very little about, although a lot of it reminds me of early Industrial Strength/IST etc .The reason I bought this was for 4 tracks, which is a good result for something I had never heard of;Point Alpha's "Alpha Acid",with its hard kicks, high 303 line and metal-drum percussion is great,as is the constantly building-up "Adrenalin Rush" by Psyche. But the real ones that grabbed my attention are by Pod."Mollusk" has an overbearing kick and sounds similar to early AFX works, while "Geodesic Dome" carries on that feeling, but with more defined sounds and non 4/4 kickdrum patterning.I would advise people into what I mentioned previously to pick one up.
