Profile: Been in to Drum n Bass since 93. I'm more of a record collector (or Vinyl Junkie) than a DJ, although I have played out at small local events.
My specialist subject is Drum n Bass from 93 to Date, although I do also dabble in other types of Dance, and have some Garage from 97 - 2001, and Breaks from 2003 to 2008, a few old skool Hardcore bits from 91 - 93, and some Classic Hip Hop.
I also have some obscure chart / dance mash ups, and like to get the odd picture disc. Also been buying pop / indie singles on vinyl too, the likes of Arctic Monkeys / Kasabian / Killers / The View. Oh, and how can I forget the legendary Prodigy !!
Also,I know I have exactly the same name as DJ Hixxy, but I am a totally different person !!
IF ANYONE IS OFFERING ME MONEY FOR VINYL IN MY COLLECTION, MAKE SURE THE OFFER IS OVER £10, AND EVEN THEN I PROBABLY WON'T SELL IT, BUT THERE'S NO HARM IN ASKIN !??!

Prodigy, The - Invaders Must Die - 27-Feb-09 09:57 AM
In my opinion some of The Prodigys best work to date. They take this album back to the original hardcore roots with old skool samples scattered throughout alongside hard guitar riffs and nasty twisted basslines - Trademark Prodigy ! Highlights for me are the Excellent Omen, particularly the last 20 seconds of twisted bassline, also the brilliant Warriors Dance with its Pacific sounding intro and classic Come with me to the Dancefloor sample followed by an excellent bass drop that cant be faulted. My personal favourite though is the sublime Run With The Wolves - I just cant stop playing it, the hard bangin beats, catchy vocal and the 2nd bass drop is so twisted its enough to blow up any dancefloor anywhere, instant rewind everytime ! Also, other tracks of note are Worlds on Fire which is a showcase of some classic prodigy sounds well put together to make a great track to get the massives moving, and Piranha is also a very tasty track, but on the whole nothing that would justify reaching for the skip track button. Excellent work from The Prodigy !! ;)

Absolutely Excellent Tracks on Here - The Beginning of Drum n Bass on 1 12", thats actually the only problem with it, obviously the sound quality isnt the greatest due to the LP format, but these tracks are where it started. Youve got classics like Scotty, The Helicopter, The Burial, Sweet Vibrations, Original Nutter, Warning, The Licence, and one of my alltime favourites - Under Mi Sensi. Some of these tunes are really rare and would cost a small fortune to buy on their own, so if youve not got them already, this is a well worthwile LP to have.
