Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now - 02-Jul-02 01:38 PM
that "praise you (original version)" is WAY better than ANYTHING by Fatboy Slim that ever got played on the radio!! and, no, its not the same droning "radio hit" of the late 90s its totally different!!!

Aphrodite - Urban Jungle - 06-Apr-02 09:04 PM
Alright, Ill admit I added this release when I was pretending to know more than I ought to about electronic music, and it has no 2-step. But I still think a good deal of it counts as tech step. Youre right about jump up. what amen there isnt even amen enough to mention if you ask me. All and all I prefer BM Funkster type Aphrodite tracks.

Various - Tigerbeat6 Inc. - 06-Apr-02 08:26 PM
This compilation changed the way I listen to music. Like all music that is REALLY good it took 3 or 4 listens to grow on me. At first it seemed it little rough and snippy, kind of unfinished. It wasnt until a while listening to it that I... um... got the point.

These tracks are a great introduction to Americas indy electro music. Great stuff!

Matmos - A Chance To Cut Is A Chance To Cure - 06-Apr-02 08:14 PM
This album is revolting a beautiful. The first track is made from arranged samples of ACTUAL LIPOSUCTION! The other tracks include samples of LASIK surgery, Hearing aid tests, lab rat cages, human skulls, and rhinoplasty. Matmos are geniuses. Buy this album. Smile and vomit.

Neutral - Font Translation Errors - 06-Apr-02 08:09 PM
Neutral is Nicole Elmer who has release some stuff on Mike Paradinas Planet Mu. This CD is from a label in Texas. A lot of the elements in this music sound like they come from over the phone. While it probably falls under the blanket of "IDM," a lot of what you hear here sound influenced by early and industrial as well as REALLY early industrial. Worth a listen!
