Robert Miles - Children May 08, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
A perfect example of dance music snobbery:
Record is released on obscure italian label (DBX): Everyone loves it
Record is licensed to credible trance label (Platipus): Everyone loves it
Record is licensed to major label, becomes big hit: suddenly every doesnt like it

pfff...this was a great record, this is a great record, this always shall be a great record. Like all the great tracks its deceptively simple but that piano hooks you in straight away and sounded awesome over a big system. Unfortunately the legion of 'Dream House' sub-standard copies and a poor series of follow-ups by Miles himself sullied the memory of this dance music landmark.
Various - Essential Mix Feb 15, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Utterly utterly mindblowing mix covering everything from Rap to RnB to rock by the SP's given out during an equally mindblowing performance at Creamfields. This CD is at least partially performed on CD decks and features some scratch and mix techniques involving timestretch that just arent possible on vinyl. Nice to see the SP's embracing newer technology unlike a lot of DJ Luddites.
Incidently, my copy of the CD came into my possession after was thrown by Dynamite MC while I was looking the other way and it hit me square in the face. Ow.
