Jason Cortez - Set You Free! - 29-Jun-08 06:01 AM
Well what can I say about these tunes? I love everything about the original from the lush piano break and vox to the incredible lead melo. This is UK hard trance at it's best. :)

A while after hearing the original I heard the Phil York vs DBD remix which somehow manages to better the original imo. It turns the original upside down with an absolutely thunderous kick and one of the best build ups I've heard in a long while. Love what they've done with the lead aswell.

Tranzlation just keeps getting better and better - this is without a doubt my personal favourite rls on the label and the remix is my fave tune of the year so far. More please! :D

Andy Whitby & Matt Lee - Will 2 Ill - 07-May-08 10:34 AM
Not a huge fan of this release myself... I much preferred Whitby's earlier productions before he moved onto the Bounce / Scouse side of things. Personal faves of his are 'Andy Whitby EP's 1 & 2' on Nukleuz. Anyway, Original Mix doesn't really do it for me - the vocals work nicely but the +1 minute long kickback in the middle of the tune really overdoes it imo. When the tune finally kicks back in, it's not too bad but really just doesn't hit the spot with me, sounds kinda too cheesy.

Now for the Klubfiller remix... I preferred this to the original and really liked the part around 3 mins & 6 mins. However, not awfully different to the original, but there's only so much you can do with a remix I guess.

Defo not a classic in my books but I'm sure some will appreciate it more than I do.
