Profile: Hey, I'm just getting started at this whole DJing thing, but I have a natural knack for it. I'm a very ear-based musician (who happens to know a ton of theory) and I know what I like and don't like. I do CDs right now, as I have no idea what to look for as far as vinyl goes, and it seems pretty daunting! I have heard some great stuff that seems only available on record, and I can do the basic beat matching with records...just need more of my own records so I can practice more! Wish me luck...hopefully you'll dig what I play, and get an idea of what that is from my wishlist. I play a lot of Dub, Leftfield, Breakbeats, Latin, Trip-Hoppy kind of stuff, and I like to play sexy stuff that both rocks out and gets deep. I love to jam with other DJs as I learn more and more, so if you're local drop me a line!
Reviews & Discussion:

First off, I'd like to say that this kind of music is very new to me, so to hear a track like Nommos' Ark is actually pretty exciting.
I actually managed to mix it into African Head Charge's Run Come Chant the other night, but before doing so someone asked me if it was Aphex Twin. Nom's Ark drops and cuts and echoes and skips, it completely messes with you, it almost makes me dizzy sometimes.
The Systemwide tracks are great downtempo dub, with a nice dark side....but Sound Secretion....Wow! In The City is a bit much on the High Frequency Oscillator, but the tracks that follow are hypnotic and sexy, with dark, interesting basslines and swirly dub deliciousness.
