Various - Banana News
Apr 12, 2008
All the tracks appear in an edited form (30 seconds to about 1 minute shorter than their 12" mixes), however they are not mixed, and it's a great way to own many excellent and rare songs from the Banana/Delirium catalogue. I Need Love has a different intro, which could be unique to this release as while the edit that appears on this collection is shorter than the original mix, is still probably too long to appear on the rare 7" release.
Kasso - Slave
Nov 20, 2007
What a letdown after the greatness of every other Kasso release. Some horribly generic original tracks (Walking on sunshine is decent enough though) and some okay remixes, but when a remix makes a song sound more outdated than the much older original you know there's something wrong. After a few years of incredible prolificity (and quality!) in the late 70s and early 80s, Simonetti completely lost his touch and this album is just another proof. It's the "Simonetti Horror Project" of his dance career: he probably tried to grasp a style that just wasn't his own, teaming with some not-so-great songwriters and remixers.
