Tracid Beta Filez - 15-Jun-06 08:23 AM
The first three releases came in a kind of "promotional copy"-design, only white records whith a black stamp, which has been replaced by a regular sleeve design starting with Cat-No 3004.
For 3001, 3002 and 3003, there are no promotional copies, just the regular, white labeled and stamped releases.

"Clearing up some TTX rumors and confusings" (Part II)

Q: "The Cat.No's of the 'L-releases must be wrong! There are no 'Ls!"

A: No, these Cat.No's are right. Limited Vinyls are handeled completely seperate from the normal releases here at Tracid Traxxx. They have a own Cat.No and in most cases the price differ from the normal releases.

There are (as always ;) three special cases: "Acid Air Raid", "Gegen den Sturm" and "Devil Fish". All of these were picturediscs or colored vinyls at first and we're reprinted on black vinyls later.

The main difference to the lim's is that these three releases have been released in this special format first and were re-released on normal black vinyl months or years later when the first edition was completely sold out.
On the other hand, a 'LIM was always released at the same time as the normal release, so they got a special Cat.No.

Q: "I can't find this Cat.No's on the records!"

A: There's a simple answer for that - we tried to save money" ;)
The 'LIMs are very limited and costs for printing a special label just to add a 'L to the Cat.No would be too high, so we decided to use the normal labels on the records.
Same is for the record itself, as the tracklist is mostly the same, we used the same pressing as for the normal release. But maybe we'll get someone in the future who cuts the 'L into the vinyl by hand afterwards ;)
A good example for the use of the same pressing are the Kreissäge-releases: There it's the other way round - the normal releases are pressed the same way as the limited shapes.

Q: "What is right? 'L or 'LIM?"

A: Both are right. We here at TTX are masters of inconsequence so we used 'LIM in some cases by mistake. Normally, it's 'L. ;)

"Clearing up some TTX rumors and confusings" (Part I)

There are some confusions about the Cat.No's of our first Albums, so let's explain ;)

Q: "What is TTXCD01? The Compilation Part 1 or Kai Tracid's Trance & Acid-Album?"

A: Neither of both - TTXCD01 does not exist.
TTX Compilation 1 was released by Warner Special Marketing (see: http://www.discogs.com/release/30586)and
Kai Tracid's Trance & Acid was released by Sony Dance Division (see: http://www.discogs.com/release/229062).

The first Cat.No's of TTX-Albums are really a bit confusing, so let's clear it up. ;)

CD:
TTXCD01 - does not exist -
TTXCD02 = TTX Compilation Part 2 (Part 1 is not released on TTX but on Warner Special Marketing)
TTXCD03 = TTX Compilation Part 3

Vinyl:
TTXLP01 = Kai Tracid / Trance & Acid Album (Vinyl Edition)
TTXLP02 = Kai Tracid / Contemplate Album (Vinyl Edition)
TTXLP03 - does not exist - (as there was no Vinyl Edition of Compilation Vol.3)

From now on, CD and Vinyl are the same:
TTXLP04 / TTXCD04 = Derb / Derbattack Album
TTXLP05 / TTXCD05 = ASYS / Album

Pop Shuvit - Conversations - 12-Aug-05 01:13 AM
What a unbelievable record!
Cool breakbeats combined with a groovy 303-line and a very catchy hookline, really what you need to be "chilled and thrilled" at the same time.

Odyssee Of Noises - Firedance - 26-Jul-05 03:42 PM
Normally, a "classic" cannot be made any better. Mostly the exact opposite happens.
But if you let a "classic producer" re-work one of his own "classic records", then maybe you get some kind of wonder.
Exactly this is what happened to "Firedance".
I liked the original track very much, but the "wait up"-rework made it into my Alltime Top 3
