MC Solaar - Prose Combat - 13-Sep-06 10:32 AM
His best album by far, and probably will be his best ever. The lyrics are captivating and the work by both Boom Bass and Jimmy Jay are amazing. Nice addition to the album is the freestyle with Les Sages Poetes De La Rue. Must own record!
High Contrast - Basement Track - 21-Aug-03 11:45 AM
A nice track from High Contrast, the the accapella of Indos RU Sleepin and shuttling beats over a synth stabbed landscape. Great tune.
TJR - Just Gets Better - 22-Jun-03 01:51 PM
One of my favourites of 1997. The beats were great and the chopped up samples were even better. Xavier has a great voice on the track and TJR provided a great house backing.
Definately a move towards Speed Garage
Todd Edwards - 11-Jun-03 10:33 AM
Todd Edwards has an interesting sound. I love the way he mashes everything up to a garage beat. Some of his work I like includes his latest remix for Craig David (whats your flava) and his older stuff he used to play out. Hes not scared to cut up a sample and play some parts of it more than once, which is pretty cool. Maybe some progression on the sound would be cool.
Junior Senior - Move Your Feet - 10-Jun-03 10:55 AM
Move your feet is a strange song that will grow on you. The beat is definately a rock beat with a disco-like feel. The samples are well used and the song reminds you of good disco days. The vocals in the verse sound like the lead singer of RHCP. The melody is cheeky yet cool.
