Emetic - One Spoon Is Enough - 28-Oct-05 05:24 AM
Now this is what I call acid! Everyone who has seen Arkanoid, Mr. Gasmask or Emetic at work, know what I mean! A1, A2, B1 & B2 are very energetic tracks with a nice build-up towards a climax you'd absolutely apreciate! This EP will make you move! A3 & B3 are actually oldskool acid tracks with the known "Binary Bassline Touch"...
Prodigy, The - Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned - 13-Oct-05 06:02 AM
I believe this album is quite great! The Prodigy actually follows the path of modern dancemusic on that peticular time If we listen to Experience (their first album), you could hear some kind of rave. (begin 90's -> Rave) Their 2nd album, Music For The Jilted Generation was more towards techno and breaks. (mid 90's -> Techno) Fat Of The Land is purely based on clubmusic, what was popular in the late 90's (late 90's -> Club) Now Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, it's samles are directed towards electro and rock. The samples that are recently used in lots of releases. Electro, electro-pop, etc... So you could actually say, The Prodigy is a commercial band. But their samples are more underground.
Various - BE-Connection - 27-Jun-05 10:10 AM
Another record I've been waiting for a while... Why? Because it's the first vinyl release of a personal friend of mine. Koen or S.A. (which you should understand as Special Agent) worked togetter with Danny Casseau for a while. They decided to bring a release with 2 known DJ's/Producers (Redhead & Tom Hades) and the first release of S.A. The result is very nice!
The Redhead track (A-Side) actually brings a funky bassline to your speakers. You wouldn't say it's a real Redhead-track, but the result is in my opinion very good! Tom Hades (B1-Side) brings you a straight-forward track, you easely could place in a Tom Hades liveset. Nice bassline, original samples, a good track... Finally the S.A. track (B2-Side). You could actually hear this young talent is inspired by his friends Redhead, Tom Hades & Danny Casseau. Which delivers a great first track! You'll recognise a funky line with a strong bass. I love it!
British Murder Boys - BMB6 - All The Saints Have Been Hung - 12-May-05 09:53 AM
I've been looking for this speech since Regis & Surgeon used it as their intro on Kozzmozz in 2004. I've never heard such a strong speach, although this one is a real recording. About the musical tracks on the record I can only say: MASSIVE! Again a strong release of the British Murder Boys! Up to Counterbalance 13!
Redhead - Hail The Dark - 29-Apr-05 08:31 AM
I've been waiting since september last year for the first release on Redheads new label Red Factory. And the result is huge! B1-side was previously released on the I Love Techno album last year, mixed by Redhead himself. This was allready a small piece of the real monster, Red Factory 001. The A-side is the killertrack, dark & straight forward! Very upliftin' & it will make the crowd moving! The B2-side, in my opinion the second best track on the record. A typical Redhead-track...
