Rhythm & Sound - See Mi Yah - 02-Mar-05 03:37 AM
It's a "one riddim release", which is pretty popular in dub/reggae world. That's why every song is built over thesame rhythm pattern and bassline. This kind of music is not for everybody and it demands some concentration and some knowledge.
Anyway "See Mi Yah" is simply a masterpiece. Can just anybody appreciate a masterpiece?
Minus (2) - The Sound Of Incoherence - 08-Feb-05 02:16 PM
The very first record from the fresh new label from the depths of the Eastern Block. "Stalinic Techno" one would say.
Side B is awfull, boring and trivial techno with the worst German influences - I hate it.
But side A is very cool, pure minimal techno with an interesting structure and industrial-ish sounds. There's something fresh in the mood of those tracks and I love it.
Codebase - Seek And Destroy EP - 26-Jan-05 04:14 AM
I would recommend this piece of wax even if only Walker's remix would be on it. It's just a marvelous track, truly a minimal dub masterpiece. The rest of the tunes is cool too, but the Stewart Walker's remix just stands out so much - and in a good way!
Atlon-Inc* - Alina - 26-Jan-05 02:00 AM
The "Tank" track kind of stands out (but in a bad way) - it's a monotonous, industrial techno beat, very dull. The rest of this records is really cool, deep and dubby music.
Requiem Records - 10-Sep-03 04:20 AM
Requiem has been active in the publishing industry for over a decade, promoting electronic, ambient and postindustrial music. The music published by Requiem is subtle and mysterious -- archaic, but created with a modern instrumentation, It's a type of music which escapes all types of classification. Requiem isn't based on mutual adoration and often - as the only publisher in Poland - enables unknown artists to be published and promoted. It proves that the so-called 'underground' are full-fledged musicians who have nothing to be ashamed of in a confrontation with mainstream artists.
