Profile: I wanna hear music that inspires the enterpreneur inside me.
Music that will last a lifetime.
I've heard enough hard banging hardcore trance and hip-hop stuff since I was in my teens so from my list you can see I do appreciate a much more refined side to music in general.
Feel free to drop me a note to have a chat about any of the releases in my collection.

You have to really understand JDs past before you can truly appreciate this mix. From Northern Exposure to the dark penetrating Global Underground releases to MMII...the variaty of moods hes created for many with so much precision and detail is something to admire by itself.
This release clearly shows that he can challenge critics view of his style. However, there are some things that are never missing from his releases (inc. this one): seamless mixing and an awesome track selection!!

Ian Pooley - Nite:Life 06 - 31-Dec-04 03:29 AM
The mix starts with an introductory track "Eden" which is as best described dreamy-yet-funky. Metro Area (one of my favourite artists) steps up the tempo a tad with "Caught Up". The next flurry of tracks keep the mood simple-sexy-soulful up until you hit Mood II Swings "Call me" followed by two incredibly pumping-yet-smooth tracks "Da Vegas" and "Cheap Heat".
The mix borrows Derrick Caters remix of Blazes "My Beat" to break things up before moving onto more Tech-House oriented tracks like the mans "900 degrees" and Technasias "Evergreen I". The end is like the beginning. Dreamy-funky-smooth.
The best thing about it IMO is the fact that its recorded live. The sound quality, feel and energy from a live mix can be found in this release. Nowadays computer mixing which sounds too perfect has become dull and at best too predictable!!
A release, which will always hold its own. THANK YOU IAN!!!

I got this CD for Christmass and I have to say how addictive it is.An excelent combination of the Detroit Techno vs soul. Simply listen to "Loves got me high" and youll see what Im talking about.

The mood created is uplifting but not too hyper The beats are strong but they dont dominate the entire album.

Highlights for me are Gene Farris "Show me a man" of course S.G.H.A. "Loves got me high" and for some awesome mixing I would say the transition between Track 11-12 WOW!! Powerful is prob the best adjetive to use here!!

Miguel Migs - Nite:Life 020 - 24th St. Sounds - 10-Nov-04 01:01 AM
Miguel sets himself apart in this release. I can see what others are raving about now. His two releases in CD1 (come on, one-two one-two) show his funky-house edge.
This music doesnt have to be played loud to be enjoyed, and I think thats whats appealing about it. Miguel doesnt build it up to a climax so the mood is kept constant yet funky and alive!!
CD2 is an unmixed compilation of his dubs from his earlier NRK releases.

DJ Tiësto - In Search Of Sunrise 3: Panama - 03-Nov-04 11:31 PM
My first Tiesto CD to add to my collection and what a beatifoul mix it is!!
It starts off very downtempo and then it builds up into progressive trance never letting down the melody or the rithmic beatifoul voices behind many of the tracks.
The mixing is not as transitional/smooth as you would expect but the track choice definetly makes up for this.
A magnificient uplifting experience...GO TIESTO ^O^ !!!!!
