Cross pollination like this should happen way more often. In the case of Pigs Of The Roman Empire, the results are jaw-dropping. Brian Williams sangria of black atmosphere and production fused with the metal-gloom of the Melvins make this a no-brainer for fans of either camp. Its bleak, and it rocks. My only complaint is that it didnt happen earlier.

A haunting release, and an anti-war statement to boot. Im normally not a big fan of political-reactionary art, but I cant ignore the power and sadness these pieces invoke, and the grace in which they were made. In my opinion, Thralls music here supports neither war opponent, but simply encapsulates the bone-chilling feeling of whats possible in our world today. Anyone interested in the music of Muslimgauze or Voice Of Eye would be urged to seek this out. Includes field audio caught at the moments of the second 9/11 attack.
