Haggis Horns, The - The Traveller - 11-Oct-08 06:38 AM
This track is very big on the UK soul scene, but its for the Part Two version that as made a big noise for its very 70s funk beat and strings section.
drop this in any club will have the floor rocking if you can still get a copy.
If you like a funky beat with great horns then this is a must for any Soul/Funk/Disco collector of vinyl
but if you just want it as a MP3 then you can readily get a copy

Sister Sledge - Thinking Of You / We Are Family / He's The Greatest Dancer - 04-Jun-08 10:32 AM
This track was was released as an A side because of the heavy playing this was given by the Caister Soulweekend DJs in 83 84 so much so that all the Djs where given a framed 12" with the inscription of

Sister Sledge - Thinking Of You
Presented To
"The Family" For Their Overall Support
"Caister"
Chris Hill, Pete Tong, Martin Collins, Froggy, Tom Holland,Jeff Young, Bob Jones, Sean French, Chris Brown,

one was given to Chris Hill with his Name only on it.

Odyssey (2) - Magic Touch / Happy People - 10-Dec-07 07:54 AM
This is one track that got both sides of the market. With the more pop tune of "Magic Touch" being played by the Radio Stations like Radio One, And your run of the mill Disco, It was the in Vogue Night Clubs (Gold Mine)and Soul Weekenders(Caister) and Pirate radio (Jazz FM) plying the flip side "Happy People" with its 125 BPM and more heavy bass But mellow Funky beat being the side of choice by the top DJs of the day

Tavares - More Than A Woman - 25-Sep-07 09:29 AM
A Classic track from back in the day, Every Time I here this track it reminds me of the early days of Caister Soul Weekenders
this track still has the power to fill the floor even today some 30 years on.
From Weddings to All dayers if you drop this track you will fill the floor. and on the soul seen it is bigger than "Heaven Is Missing An Angel" or "It Only Takes A minute"

Rockers Revenge Featuring Donnie Calvin - Walking On Sunshine - 31-May-03 03:39 AM
Walking on Sunshine written by Eddy Grant this cover version followed Eddys version two years later and became a top ten hit (No4)UK 1982 for 13 weeks for Rockers Revenge, Eddy Grant did not have a hit with this until some years later in 1989.
