This 12" really is a mixed bag. The title track is especially bizarre: a military drum roll, church bell, Clannad-esque synthesised flute, and tribal beats all blend to produce an incoherent and almost tedious whole. Fortunately the B side is much better. 'Slash the Beats' is a great pounding break, rumbling bassline and lovely, dark atmospheric refrain. The highlight, however, is the last track, a minimalist Techno masterpiece that sounds awesome 12 years on, and would be totally at home in one of Hawtin's DE9 mixes.
