My name is Patrick and I´m living in a small town near Hamburg. I love electronic music since my early childhood and I started to collect vinyl since I´m 16 years old. I´m very into the classic nyc and chicago house sound as you can see when you browse my collection. Well, to be honest, I was too lazy the last time to list my whole collection here at Discogs but I do my best to complete it ;) I´ve got a collection of maybe 500-600 records but I´m not really sure because I never count my records. Well, as I said I´m a big big fan of that classic house sound. Somehow I don´t like the house sound of nowadays because I can´t really feel that sound and I´m not going with it ;) Okay, here and there are some good deep house records but come on, all that electro and minimal stuff doesnt sound interesting anymore. Time for something new. A deeper sound! :)

Feel free to browse my collection! I must say that I´m a little bit proud of. Not every 21 year old guy has such an record collection, or? ;-)

JLM Productions - Matter Of Trust EP - 17-Apr-08 09:31 AM
This is one of the most overlooked jungle records of all times. I found this pretty 12" in an 2nd hand vinyl store. I never heard of JLM productions all over the last years so I was very surprised when I did listen to the record. All four tracks are very deep and emotional and they have a very good drum programming. Kinda LTJ Bukem style in here but nevertheless different. The record is very cheap to get so if you´re digging the sound of bukem then get your hands on a copy quickly. You won´t be disappointed!

Subliminal Aurra - Ease The Pressure - 22-Mar-08 04:09 PM
Wow, I can´t believe that there´s no comment for this masterpiece of House music. Being released in 1990 the tunes are well ahead of its time. The hot spot track for me is "Ease the pressure (Hypnotic Trance Mix)". This is really one of the deepest house cuts of 1990 and you can say that the track really was outstanding back then and of course still is! Being in the same vein like "Fall Into a Trance" or "The Mist (Fallout Mix) this is sheer "nu groove ambient house" bizness. It seems that Hardcore/Jungle producer "Q-Project" also liked the record a lot because he sampled the first lines of the deep and floating melody of "Ease the pressure (Ambient Mix) and took it for his "Deep Concentration" release which was released in 1994. Sheer class! I wish there would be more house tracks like this!

Lee* / Tango / Gwange* - Legendary Volume 3 - 22-Mar-08 04:01 PM
Oh yeah, as the other authors have written here, this record is another classic from the "Legend" staple. My personal favorite is "2 Deep". This is truly one of the deepest cuts of 1994 together with Dj Crystl´s "Paradise" and "Sweet Dreamz". The floating background melody which was sampled from a "Enigma" tune (dunno which one anymore!) fits so well with all the other elements of the track. The deep and rolling drums which are kept in the background. The female "whisper" sounds and last but not least some spooky reversed sample business. Sounds like an reversed sample from an old funk or disco tune which really creates an mysterious atmosphere. This was my first "Legend" record and it made hungry for more stuff from that quality label. The flipside track "Solutions" is nice as well but long not as good as "2deep"!! I wish there would be more stuff like that!!

Gwange* & Spinback / Q-Project* - Legendary Volume 1 - 22-Mar-08 03:47 PM
Another quality release of the "Legend Records" camp as all early legend records. Q-Project´s "Deep Concentration" is the standout track to look for. The track starts with an melodic and fast sounding synth-melody which is exactly sampled from the house record "Subliminal Aurra - Ease the pressure(Ambient Mix)" released in 1990. The track is built up step by step with more heavy breakbeats samples and more snythie-sounds coming in time after time. Really phat classic track which was kicked often in the past from Bukem,Grooverider,Hype and many others. The flipside is nice as well but not as good as "Deep Concentration". If you´re into Jungle and Hardcore/Breakbeat then please get your hands on a copy. You won´t never fail with a Legend record! Peace!

Subliminal Aurra - The Next Phase - 22-Mar-08 10:44 AM
"Subliminal Aurra" aka Lenny Dee and Victor Simonelli produced some killer dope house cuts back then. In my opinion they´ve created a complete new subgenre of house music. I can´t put that subgenre into words so give me a chance to describe it. Back in 1990/1991 Lenny Dee, Victor Simonelli and Frankie Bones created some very deep and dark cutz. Tunes like "Fall Into A Trance", "Ease The Pressure", "Overdose(Final Trip)","Flashback" and many more were released. All tracks are kinda different but have nevertheless a same vibe. All tracks create mysterious and deep moods with their deep soaring strings and mysterious spooky vocals. The standout track on this record is without any doubt "The Mist(Fallout Mix)". This track is so killer that I even get goosebumps after years of listening. The mysterious and whispering female vocal "Mist is in my mind" together with the floating strings create an absolute mental atmosphere. As far as I know that track was caned heavily on all the big UK raves back in the early 90s. It really must have been an hypnotic and joyful joruney to enjoy that track there with all the mist and laser fx. In my opinion this track and "Ease the pressure" were an pool of inspiration for later hardcore/breakbeat/jungle producers like "Q-project", "Dj Crystl" etc. They took the deep floating synthie sounds or created smiliar ones and overlayed them with some heavy breakbeats. Killer production of Subliminal Aurra. Please do you a favor and get your hands on a copy!
