Profile: I used to DJ (between 1992-2002) but I'm retired from all that now. I was resident at a major London club for over 5 years in the late 90's/early 2000's, and played other gigs around the country, plus a stint in Ibiza in '99. I mixed with a lot of the big names of the time and some who have since become big names on the trance/hard house scene. These days I'm just digitally archiving the vast swathe of tunes I amassed during those years...it's a f*kin' laborious job, for sure. I do have a few special pieces, such as, signed acetates, TP's and other rarities - which I will not sell at any time.
I will add my collection to Discogs as I archive it, and I may be prepared to sell some of the vinyl I have listed here. Alternatively, if you have something on my wantlist, I may be prepared to trade. If you're looking for audio files - I don't do freebies. Contact me if you have an inquiry. I'm listing my collection from Jan 2007 onwards.

Vengaboys - We Like To Party (The Vengabus) (Remixes) - 13-Apr-08 12:32 PM
Skip over the Tin Tin Out remix. It's fairly standard, unexciting Euro-Trance stuff and a slight departure from the usual TTO sound, I think. Go straight for the Klubbheads mix. The Vengaboys are all about cheesy, fun Euro-nonsense, anyway, so the Klubbheads just play on this and give the track some club credibility with a building, tougher melody sound and a HONKING one-note, off-beat bassline typical of everything Euro at the time (1998). Nice vocal edits in the intro bars (so you can cut them in during the mix) and, trust me, right out of the end of your mix it used to drop like a bomb when that bassline kicked in. More bounce than a pogo-stick and guaranteed to ignite your dancefloor.

Antarctica* - Return To Reality - 13-Apr-08 04:22 AM
I would add that the original mix is actually the best one here. It is typical of Steve Gibbs during 1998-2001. A sublime, yet beautiful, building prog. trancer with loads of hands-in-the-air appeal. This guy (and this track) is one of the most underrated and seemingly unappreciated trance producers of the late 90's. I hardly ever hear mention of Steve Gibbs in amongst the likes of Tiesto and PVD, yet I think he produced some of the most original and wonderful pieces of trance the world has seen.
Just check out tracks like 'Altitude - Night Stalker and Excession' or his remix of 'Velvet girl - Walking In Sunshine' - epic, moving tunes for the soul.

Voodoo & Serano - Blood Is Pumpin' - 12-Apr-08 08:12 AM
Basically, this track is a slightly tweaked and pumped version of the 1996 tune 'Up To No Good' by the 'Porn Kings'. In substance, it features the same borrowed 303 acid hook, from the Porn Kings tune, which in itself was ripped straight from Josh Wink's 'Higher State Of Consciousness'. Add a few trance pads, loose the helium vocals and you essentially have the same track. Low on invention, but high in appeal and energy; it works predictably well on the dancefloor.

Dextrous Energy - X-Train - 18-Oct-07 12:13 PM
This tune was a floor filler when I used to drop it, back in 1998. The main hook is the melody from 'D-train - You're the one for me' - sampled and speeded up a bit. Still, it's a disco classic which everyone seems to recognise and, with the addition of pumping house drum track and bassline underneath, it kicks big-style. A simple and effective dancefloor monster which used to jump-start a party every time.
