Tumblack - Caraïba - 07-Sep-08 04:07 PM
Fantastic, quirky, tribal, disco-not-disco record. The (fantastic) sleeve artwork is a bit of a give away because this is a real drum attack! The A-side is more a fully formed track, with a long layered, drum intro before kicking into the bass, brass, sax and tribal chanting. But for me the B-side is the killer on this disc, just a really, really hard, raw, tribal drum workout and not much else. One to make you sweat.

This mix was sampled by Carl Craig to form the hook of the Detroit techno classic, Paperclip People Throw.
