Urban Farmers - Last Chance To Dance - 14-May-03 03:46 AM
Funky, funky! Minimal deep house with wild-pitch structures & styles. Wicked.
Orb, The - Little Fluffy Clouds - 07-Apr-03 06:56 AM
Samples Steve Reich - Counterpoint (part two, I think). I think that The Orb got into a lot of trouble for it.
Morgan Geist - Super - 28-Mar-03 04:07 AM
Yes, Lullaby is the tune. This song captures the sound of beauty in innocence, a childlike naivity almost. And when the trumpet comes in, you can feel your soul being soooothed - Lullaby is the perfect title for this. I wish I could feel this way every time I was trying to sleep!
Vangelis - Blade Runner - 27-Mar-03 06:37 AM
This is one of the finest pieces of electronic music you'll hear. Although this is a soundtrack, as an album it flows superbly. I must disagree that 'one more kiss' ruins the flow - I think that it trips the album out even further, and when the synth strings from the next track begin you're sucked straight back into the atmosphere.
I've been after a copy of this on vinyl, and apparently there was a very limited number produced before being recalled - anyone got any info on that?
Rachel's Song was sampled on FSOL - Dead Cities.
Cabaret Voltaire - Drinking Gasoline - 27-Mar-03 05:25 AM
Four top dancefloor tunes from Sheffield's finest - still fresh, typical depth in production from Cabaret Voltaire / Flood / Tokes. My copy has the labels the wrong way round!
