Brenda Lee - Losing You / He's So Heavenly - 22-Jun-09 05:19 AM
Well, I have to say the thing with the wedding party might not be a good idea. As its a rather sad song about being left alone behind, I only noticed that now after listening to it again. Sorry about that. Nevertheless a good and emotional song. To bad I cannot edit my review from above, now I will have to think about some more words to fill this review in order to correct my mistake from above. Still not enough words, wow, maybe I should leave a comment somewhere that an edit function for reviews would be well appreciated, at least by me. Also found a small mistake (listen should read listened, right?) in the review above that I would like to correct. But its too late.

Thats the perfect Schmaltz, but I cannot deny that its perfect in the best way. A great voice and a nice tune, a slow waltz. When I found it in the 7" box of my father and first listen to it (of course I didnt know it) I was expecting the worst, but instead it made me dance with my wife immediately. Really nice, something that makes my rather hard rockin heart weak ;). If youre looking for an opening dance of a wedding party, thats what you should use.
John Fogerty - Revival - 03-Mar-08 08:14 AM
Dont get misguided by the strumming sound of this record when you first hear it. Listening to it for the first time may make you think it is sort of simple country, folk or even schmaltzy music. You could not be more wrong! After the third or fourth time listening to it, it starts to capture you and the excellent guitar playing is beginning to drag you deeper and deeper into it. This is Fogerty at his best. Back to his roots of CCR he is presenting excellent songs that make you wanna move and you cannot stand still. Country, folk, rock, blues... its everything and way to good to be overlooked. My fovourites are Gunslinger, Summer Of Love and Natural Thing. Give them a try if you like handmade music with catchy tunes that dont annoy your ear even after hearing them again and again.
