The very first version of "Open Your Eyes" was made back in 1996 by Bruno Quartier and Etienne Vandewiele.
Bruno Quartier is also the strengths behind the version of BBE "Seven days and one week" the huge hit of late nighties that was made the same year.
Etienne Vandewiele was at that moment one of the directors of the mythic Belgium nightclub "At The Villa".
"Open Your Eyes" was played by all Belgium DJ's and Bruno & Etienne where asked to perform live in the most famous Belgium and French Clubs.
You could find this hit on the best belgium compilations.
In the year 1999 they where approached by Nalin & Kane and agreed to licence it to Superfly (the label of Nalin & Kane) who scored very well in all European dance Charts with "Open Your Eyes".

Art Ethnu was composed in the music studio of At The Villa by Jean-Yves Vanloo the Brother of Laurence Vanloo the artistic director of At The Villa People.
The real reason why this track only exist as a Wight Label is because of the voice that has been sampled from an acapella ethnic song.
They never came to an agreement with the original owners of this acapella version and so decided it was to risky to release it on an official label.
But you can find a version on the At The Villa People compilation Volume 4.
