Cave - Mystery E.P. - 20-May-05 06:53 AM
Surely one of the best releases ever by Cave. Paseo has the typical structure of Cave tracks, a banging tribal track with a really mystical ambience. Mystery is less heavy, but hits hard any dancefloor nevertheless. The Paco Osuna remixes are great, i just love the shake remix, it's one of those very special tracks that when are brought in the right moment can really make a difference - it's truly a floor shaker. All tracks, especially this last one, suit really well in a 3/4 deck mix.
Ceoff - Jaccy Elements - 23-Apr-05 04:24 AM
Just got this disc today from a guy that was selling some old vinyl he had, and this was one of the most interesting surprises. These are three impressive tech house tracks, with subtile chicago-influenced melodies and really groovy beats. It's interesting that this is the only record ever made by this label and by Ceoff.
DJ F.E.X - Get Stoned - 20-Apr-05 12:21 PM
An excelent release from fex, i just love this tune. A very catching and original melody with a tech house/electro percussion, i think this release will become a classic sooner than we think. The other two mixes are close to the original, not adding much more to the vinyl. Nevertheless, the original mix is a masterpiece that really can make a difference in a whole dj set.
DJ Jiggy - Over You / Black Dogs - 20-Apr-05 12:18 PM
I am not really impressed by this work. It's sad to see that the majority of the people of my country (Portugal) only like it because it's a production of Jiggy, one of the most influent dj's in the country who hadn't produced for years. This makes me remeber when dj vibe released 'i'll take you'. In the beggining, everyone said it was an amazing sound, but soon started to realise it wasn't such a big deal after all. What's going on with this country ? Are we work judgers or person judgers ? Why are maurel and fauvrelle the only very good producers that are known in this country, why are the most talented producers of this country always shadowed by the bigger ones ?
4Toasters* - Real World - 20-Apr-05 07:37 AM
I was very dissapointed when i got this vinyl from the portuguese dj/producers frank maurel and carlos fauvrelle, a couple of years ago. These tracks are so dull, so vague, so un-interesting... they have no sense at all. It has been said: this is really a "fetch a beer" vinyl... but a lousy one, you can calm people down in a dancefloor without having to play poor music.
