"Putting a roomful of people in the moment. Amazing them, surprising them, challenging, even confusing them; pushing, electrifying, loving them; carrying them with you towards a better place. Shaking the dull daylight out of their bones, waking them into their other life."

House Hallucinates - Prisoners Of Extacy - 16-Aug-09 12:03 AM
Bangin, screamin, shakin, mindblowin, happy Rave tune with House Piano to the maxx, tranced up Acid lines and the vocals we all love about exctasy. It took me some time to discover this one and after years of listening to Dr. Walker, The Modernist & Mike Ink., I would never have expected such a record. A perfectly mastered blend of flawless, yes even commercial sound. Its a popsong to me, but a very good one.
Lifeforce - Kimana Tana - 11-Oct-08 03:01 PM
"Kimana Tana" is a powerful piece of mid 90s Organ House. After all its not too cheesy but still catchey, driving and uplifiting. The Vocals give it a somewhat African touch, climaxing in an epic break. This tune used to be played by a lot of big names like Junior Vasquez or Graeme Park, back in 1996. I still like this record a lot, though Id never dare to play it out today. Doc Livingstone did a good job, as he mostly did in the 90s.
V-Tracks - Heretic Voices - 01-Aug-08 09:49 AM
"The Sneakers Mix" is one of my very special favourites of the mid-90-Trance tunes. This one sounds so simple and clear, but still so wonderful and positive. Sounds like Binary Finary, Gouryella, PvD, Robert Miles and all the other big Trance acts around 1996-2000 copied only from this very track. A real insiders tip, believe me - though Oakie and DJ Dag hammered that tune from 1994 till the late nineties. The flipside is more comtemporary 1994-UK-Trance, but still not a bad tune, though pale beside the Sneakers Remix.
Susan Clark - Deeper - 17-Jul-08 03:29 AM
Deeper? No way, not possible! Incredibly - you name it - deep production. Soulful, hypnotic and jacking female vocals all at once. Also the bassdrum is fuckin deep and hits you in your stomach like some heavy boots. I recognized that tune first from a Frankie Knuckles set recorded in the NY "Sound Factory" in August 1991. Anyhow this record still sounds fresh today. Just put it on and see the bodies pumpin - deeper and deeper!
Look, The Featuring Franklin Fuentes - March - 16-Jul-08 02:36 AM
Ive cried tears of joy the first time Ive heard that tune. Genious production by Danny Tenaglia and Peter Daou, a real killer. Killer basslines, killer Rave sounds, killer House grooves, killer space sound effects. This sounds like someone on Ecstasy screaming out all the positive feelings when dancing in a packed club: "Its dark in here, its wet in here, its hot in here, I like it here; Get ready for the final journey, youll love it, you will live forever" "My heart is pounding, my mouth is dry, I love myself, and you do, too. Eveyrone wants me, everyone wants to be like me." The definite hands-in-the-air-go-crazy-the-whole-night-long anthem, always and forever. I bet this one turned the clubs upside down when Tenaglia dropped it back in 94.
