Nick Warren - Global Underground #024: Reykjavik
Jun 10, 2003
CD1 is really something new in underground music. It is combination of various styles, from trip-hop cold melodies to reggae grooves, ambinetal soundscapes to progressive breaks dance ...
Maybe the most interesting song on this CD1 is Justin Simmons - Helga Moller, fantastic breaks with groove and pads, strings like from films, some techy synthline to dance...fantastic combination CD2 is more progressive house, trance oriented, start with mellow song 'Awakening'...then warm up with Aquaculture - Dont Play The game and Dream Traveler - Headpusher... and go out slowly with last 'Last Minute Flight'... in all this is not perfect but closely to that...

This is collection of Seba's atmospheric, mellow, soft and intelligent dnb tracks,in past 10 years of his work from GLR.If you love like that sound but dont have anything from him, this release is right and full score choice.
Now Seba doing some other stuff. You can check it his new label here http://www.secretoperations.com | ||||
But after some time of very careful listening you will find a real treasure of sounds.(not gold, but shiny silver)
Especially disc 2! First song,Women Of Color - Elemental is so deep that you will feel the real nature (and how electronic music can sounds so diverse, progressive definitely have a future) through your ears...
This is real journey into deep & progressive electronic music panorama.
Mixing of Chris Fortier can't be more precise!
