Horizon 222 - Through The Round Window - 22-Feb-06 06:59 AM
This is the best work to date in my opinion from Horizon 222. Has all the great elements of Zoviet France.
This LP reminds me of some of Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia sounds. Very mellow ambient trance, with strong dub and experimental textures.
Tracks like "Spirit Level" and "Touch" are pure trance bliss. "Beyond The Horizon" and "Ancesto" have a sublime dub sound.
"Three Of Swans" (recorded not long after this)is a solid release, but "Through The Round Window" is a true masterpiece of ambient/trance/dub/electronica music.

Paperclip People - Oscillator (Electronic Flirtation Device) - 09-Oct-05 03:18 AM
Oscillator is just a wonderfull Detroit track. Warm synths, fantastic drum programing and a sublime build-up that goes crazy at the end.
This Retroactive release is a bit more up beat than other Retroactive 12", but do not let that stop you from buying it. Like all Retroactive records, it will be expensive.
Classic Carl Craig and a true divine moment in Detroit techno.

CJ Bolland - Ravesignal III - 08-Oct-05 11:13 AM
HORSEPOWER (remix) is euro tech at its best.. Bolland's best work in my opinion. The original mix is great, but this mix is PERFECT.. Sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it..
One of the best intro's in a track ever...
Worth buying it if you do not have it...

Ravebusters - Powerplant - 08-Oct-05 11:12 AM
Powerplant (Clubmix), was a huge anthem during the Melbourne warehouse rave scene during the golden years of 1991 and 1992..
The Techno mix is good, and the B side tracks are cool, but the clubmix rocks bigtime...

CLASSIC RAVE...

Mental Mayhem - Where Are They Hiding / Joey's Riot - 05-Oct-05 06:02 PM
What a fantastic 12". Joey had the 'GOLDEN TOUCH' back in the early 90's.

JOEY'S RIOT is a classic, complete with KRAFTWERK samples.

But the track for me is WHERE ARE THEY HIDING. Produced by JOEY BELTRAM and FRANKIE BONES. Has some movie sample in it with some wicked breakbeats and a very powerfull bassline. Still a floor filler today...

If you love Joey's early stuff, this is a must have.
